Our signature jars feature a bamboo lid that has a cork insert to secure it in place. Gently lift each alternate side a little at a time until you feel the cork start to dislodge from the mouth of the jar.


Crystallisation happens over a period of time and can often happen faster when honey is stored in cooler temperatures. Be assured that it is a sign of good quality honey that has not been heat treated and therefore maintains all of its amazing health benefits. If you prefer to enjoy your honey in its fresh and smooth state, you can decrystallise your honey by first removing the bamboo lid, and then microwave the on medium power for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between microwaving sessions. 


Honey will remain edible indefinitely when stored appropriately. According to National Geographic pots of honey were found in ancient Egyptian tombs dating back over 3,000 years. Amazingly, after 3000 years the honey was still edible. Our glass jars are the perfect way to store your honey. The pantry is the best place to keep your honey, do not refrigerate as this will make the honey crystallise faster. Our jars also look amazing as a feature on your kitchen window sill and the warmth from the sun will aid to slow down the crystallisation process.
